Hi June, thanks for your interest.  Yes, with a utility knife or an exacto-like knife, you can easily cut this material if needed.  The magnet is still quite thick, so you will want to have a metal ruler and a cutting board handy too.  If you have any follow up questions, please just let us know!  Best, Philip

Hi Jo, we apologize, but this material is very likely too heavy to adhere to a wall with an untested adhesive. 

If you are trying to get a whiteboard on the wall, and stick magnets to it, you would be better served with our Self-Adhesive Magnetic Receptive Opti-Rite.

The minimum quantity is 4', but it will not fall off of the wall and magnets (even one of our large Mag-tray magnets) will stick to it.  Further, it can be easily cut with a utility knife if you're looking for a smaller size. 

Again, both of these products are quite heavy, and from experience, most over-the-counter adhesives are nothing more than a temporary solution that will fail after 24 hours.  With our Self-Adhesive Magnetic Receptive Opti-Rite, it is intended to stay on the wall permanently.  If you have follow up questions, please let us know or give us a call.  Thanks!

Hi Bill, we utilize one of the best coatings on the market for our dry erase magnets.  It wipes off easily. If the writing is left on the magnet for an extended period, it can be more difficult to erase without whiteboard cleaner.  But rubbing alcohol or whiteboard cleaner makes the job effortless.  Further, this magnet will not ghost or stain over time so long as you do not use any cleaning product that contains ammonia (like glass cleaner).

Hi Debra - here are the same markers from that kit sold separately. https://mywhiteboards.com/proritemarkers.html Expo markers do work with these green marker rings that we sell. They are pretty flexible.
